I'm a writer, theatre creator, calligrapher, and teaching artist. I write novels, picture books, and crafts books. FOCUS. CLICK. WIND is my ninth book.

At the heart of everything I do is a passion for words. Words on the page. Words on the stage. The look, sound, meaning and feel of words in your mouth and in your body. The potential of words to reflect meaning and intention.

As a teaching artist, I work a lot with young people. Their passion, questions, and drive constantly inspire me.

I live in the woods in Lanark County with my husband, writer Tim Wynne-Jones. We raised our children here, surrounded by the beauty and ruggedness of rocks and pines. Welcome to my worlds!
